Crafted Elements Silicone Molds
The last mold you will ever need. Created just for makers, resin artists and wood workers, these time saving flexible yet durable silicone molds significantly cut down on the setup and demolding time usually involved with other molds. Silicone molds are superior to wood and tuck tape, and HDPE molds because:
They can be used with epoxy resin, resin and wood, concrete, Jesmonite, plaster and more.
They never need assembled, or disassembled. Saving huge amounts of time.
The strength and flexibility of the molds allows you to insert and remove pieces of wood easily.
The corners and edges never need sealed.
When using wood, the wood stays in place, tight in the mold if you cut it 1/16" larger than the width of the mold. Alternatively use our HDPE block kit in conjunction with hand weights or clamps to keep your wood from up in your resin. The HDPE blocks dont stick to set resin and are easily and cleanly removed.
The mold is heat resistant to ~450F. Avoid direct contact with the flame of a torch. Briskly wave your torch or use a heat gun to pop bubbles.
The molds are reusable. However silicone molds do have a finite lifespan when used with epoxy resin, but getting 20-30+ castings out of the mold can be expected when they are properly cared for and a non-silicone based mold release spray is used. The Mann Ease Release 300 and the MG Chemicals 8329 (Amazon) is what we most recommend.
Like HDPE, epoxy resin does not stick to silicone. However, the heat generated by the exothermic reaction and the chemicals in epoxy resin are very harsh to all silicone molds. Additionally, if part of your epoxy has not fully set due to improper mixing, the epoxy can become bonded to the mold. Both of these factors can lead to mold tear out when removing your piece from the mold, leading to pits and tears on the surface of the mold. This is why we a non-silicone based mold release spray is required before each pour. To help prevent tear out and to increase the life of your mold. We use the 'MG Chemicals 8329 Non-Silicone Epoxy Mold Release', 'Mann Ease Release 200' or 'Mann Ease Release 300'. Cooking spray, vaseline, silicone based sprays or sprays designed for urethane or polyester products should NEVER be used. Using a proper, non-silicone based mold release can mean the difference between getting only a couple of uses from your mold to 20, 30 or more.

Needed a good solid walled silicone base for my mixed media accents. Crafted has the GOODS! Very nice quality and with good mold release applied as mentioned, released amazingly smooth. Will have a very long use out of these molds. Now just make some frame molds in 11x14” and 8x10” openings, and I could order more. Nice product. Clint
The coaster mold is handy to have ready for extra epoxy or to try new colors. Even if only making one coaster, it has been useful and keeping it's shape.
We love the mold to make coasters for our business. Unfortunately, you won’t sell and ship any mold release products to Hawaiʻi nor do any other vendors. Sadly, the mold we purchased will not last very long and we will have to purchase another one or make one with plywood, 2x2’s, and Tyvek tape because we can’t afford to keep buying your molds.
Received my Crafted Elements mold and it looks great! Heavy duty well constructed. Haven’t had a chance to use it yet. But I am looking forward to starting my project soon.
These are the best molds I have ever used. If you use the correct mold release, they are tough and products release easily. The only issue I have is that the description on the website pertaining to the resin capacity is totally off. The website states each section holds 4.5 oz of resin. I usually do my own check by filling the mold w water to see how much it holds. This time I trusted the website. It’s off by 3.5 oz, a full 8 oz fits in each section. I reread the description to make sure what it states and it does have 4.5 for each section. Crafted Elements, need to change that on your website. Otherwise great product.
I loved that when I opened the box, the informational postcards gave us beginners all the pertinent knowledge to get us going. The coaster mold was exceptionally thick and well made. The Mold and shipping materials were well thought out.

I followed your direction including purchasing the Mann mold release you recommended. Using Total Boat table top epoxy resulted in a foggy top finish when popped from the mold.
Talked to Total Boat and they recommended another mold release and have had experience that Mann tends to leave a satin textured requiring sanding and recoating. Total boat recommended a paste wax.
Prior to purchasing and following your recommendations, I used a cheap mold and release agent purchased on amazon and very satisfactory results.
I purchased you mold because I wanted more depth to work with and recommended release because you allege experience.
This shows higher cost along with your recommendations are inferior to lower price items I would do a satisfactory job since this is my first attempt a coasters.
Very good product... Haven't finished them yet, but the silicone mold is great.... Their products last a long time... This is not the first time I buy molds from them... One of the things I really like from Crafted Elements is you get your order less than a week... I'm pretty sure I'll be buying more products from them... I will recommend them to anyone...
Mold is amazing! I just have sets of 4 coasters curing at all times. I will likely get another one to double up and build up inventory. Excellent product!
