We're not sure where our crazy ideas come, but we're glad we pulled the trigger on this one. Our new dual small bowl pet feeder mold empowers you to create incredible, thick, durable solid resin (or resin and wood) raised dog/cat feeders.

Functional art always has more value since it has a practical use. If you want to try your hand at making raised feeder bowls for the MASSIVE pet owners market, this is the mold to do it with!

The mold has three separate cavities. One for the main panel that holds the stainless steel dog bowls (not included) and two cavities to create solid resin legs to raise the main panel. The main panel section of the mold has two long rectangles, these create voids (or recesses) in your finished casting which are designed to insert the legs cast in the leg sections of the mold. Simply attach the legs to your cast piece with quick setting clear epoxy resin (or 5 minute epoxy, or super glue) and you're done!

Alternatively, if you don't want to create solid resin legs you can cut your own out of 1" thick solid wood (7.4" wide by however tall you want the bowl to be) and attach them to the main panel the same way.

This mold was designed with two 5.55" diameter holes for the stainless steel dog bowls. We designed the mold to fit the "Van Ness 32oz" 6.375" diameter stainless steel dog bowls that are readily available, and the best seller, on Amazon. The voids for the bowls in the mold (and therefore your casting) are smaller than the overall diameter of the dog bowl so that the curved lip keeps the bowl in place, on top of the main panel. Other brands of stainless steel dog bowls of a similar size, with a flat lip will likely also work but have not been tested. Note: Gorilla grip brand bowls will NOT fit this mold.

Crafted Elements Resin / Soap / Candy / Chocolate (RSCC) Silicone Molds

Our RSCC line of silicone molds are crafted with artists, makers and bakers in mind. While RSCC stands for resin, soap, candy and chocolate they can also be used with plaster, acrylic resin/Jesonite, concrete and other popular pourable materials.

These are not your run of the mill $10 mass produced and imported molds you'll find on many shopping sites. The custom tooling (blanks) and silicone molds are all made one-by-one, by hand at our facility in Ontario, Canada. We use the highest grade platinum cure silicone, which surpasses the quality and standards of regular food grade silicone. Our silicone is cured with platinum, not peroxide making it safer for use in food and medical applications. We make our molds incredibly thick, to ensure they are self supporting and won't bend or deform when full of your material. Every artist, maker or baker who gets one of our molds immediately acknowledges the quality difference and can justify the cost difference.

Please remember that if you are using silicone molds with epoxy resin or other corrosive or abrasive chemical that you need to use a mold release before pouring your resin. We recommend a non-silicone based release such as the MG Chemicals 8329 or Mann Ease Release 200/300. Using a proper release will extend the life of your mold and help to prevent mold tear-out.
